Volunteering for Semaine Federale
Dear Prospective Volunteer,
If you would like to volunteer your time and skills to the Semaine Federale, please take the time to read this document before completing the application form by following the link to the bottom of this document. Your contribution is needed to support the SFA from the 16 to 24 January. SFA event takes place from the 17 to 23 January and comprises three rides per day during the week, with the exception of Wednesday, the picnic day and Saturday, the closing parade. Volunteers are required to be available on Saturday 16th January to attend the Volunteers Briefing and to be available at the time you specify on the application form.

1. Benefits
Volunteers who are available for a minimum of 6 shifts are eligible for the following benefits:
• Free SFA ticket
• Free camping
• Big breakfast
• Hat
• T-shirt
• End of event dinner
2. Shifts
Note: Shifts are nominally based on 4 hour periods, · Morning 8-12pm · Afternoon 12-4pm · Evening 4-8pm Other arrangements will need to be agreed directly with Team Captain.
3. Assignments
Volunteers will be informed of their roles before the 9th January 2010. Each volunteer will be assigned to a team and will be accountable to a Team Captain. Volunteers will attend team briefings and will have a say in team planning. Volunteers can refuse unacceptable tasks. Volunteers should not put themselves or others in position of any risk. The SFA Volunteers’ tasks are challenging in meeting the needs of hundreds of riders, but it is rewarding.
